Once you pass the Mattancherry Palace, and take a right towards the Paradesi Synagogue, watch out for the shop-lined street in Jew Town. On either side are souvenir shops choc a block with ancient ruins from the colonial eras. The population of Cochin Jews – also called Malabari Jews - has dwindled to a handful now and they live close to the synagogue. Shop for antiques, vessels and artifacts in the shops here. Get a glimpse of the history present in each and every corner. Don’t miss the restaurants and cafés that offer varieties of cuisines here.
